Jamie McVicker, DVM

Dr. Jamie McVicker, DVM, grew up in Thomasville, North Carolina. She earned her BS in Animal Science and in Poultry Science from NC State University in 2000. She then earned her DVM from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Dr. McVicker moved to the south shore area a little over 16 years ago and has been a native to the area since, but has not lost her southern charm.  She lives with her partner and their Norfolk/ Border terrier mix, Gulliver. He is a rescue from Paws New England, and is the mayor of Willard Veterinary Clinic.  You may catch a glimpse of him snoozing, or begging for food in his mom's office. While at work Dr. McVicker has a special interest in dermatology, internal medicine, geriatric care, feline medicine, and dentistry, as well as giving out free hugs.  When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking her little stinker Gulliver, gardening, reading, exploring New England and finding new places to eat.  Dr. McVicker believes in her veterinary oath for the wellbeing of animals, and the following quote by Whitney Mandel:  "Animals are like little angels sent to earth to teach us how to love. They don't get angry or play silly games. They are always there for us."
